Miles and Ra

I think Miles met Ra and the two never seemed to really hit it off that well. Miles thought Ra was trying to do stuff that couldn't be done. Miles would begin to challenge himself during the middle/later parts of his career and perhaps he thought more of Ra later on. I always thought Miles, being the fan of Ellington and Stockhausen, would have liked Sunny's music more than he claimed to. I think it's funny that Miles creamed Brainville of all things, considering that it is relatively boppish in comparison the Arkestra's later works. What would Miles have thought of Atlantis at the time of the blindfold test? How about when he made Agharta? Hmmmm.... If I recall correctly, wasn't there talk on here before of Miles wanting to hire John Gilmore, but Gilmore wouldn't leave Sunny? Knowing Miles' ego, perhaps this is what stuck in his craw. When you really get down to it, Miles and Ra were both full of ego, but polar opposites spiritually.
