The Central Brooklyn Jazz Festival continues with=20 pianist/composer/bandleader Doug Carn featuring Duane Eubanks on trumpet= , Stacy Dillard on tenor=20 saxophone, along with brothers bassist Rashann Carter, drummer Russell= =20 Carter and vocalist Kathy Farmer. =20 =20

Doug Carn came into prominence in the 1970s with his wife (at the time)= =20 Jean Carn. They made several recordings on the independent and=20 self-determined label known as Black Jazz. Their music was a part of wha= t made the music=20 of the seventies so powerful. Mr Carn has survived into the 21st centruy= =20 with spirit intact to make a re-emergence in Brooklyn with a Legacy band= of=20 young turks and a very fine tuned vocalist in Kathy Farmer to keep the= =20 tradition alive!
