Sun Ra Arkestra in NYC May 25 - Marshall Allen Arrival Day Celebration
The Sun Ra Arkestra under the direction of Marshall Allen will be celebrating Marshall's 87th Arrival Day (87th birthday to those of us who are earthbound) as it continues its 55th Anniversary 2011 World Tour with a performance manifestation at Sullivan Hall on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at 7:30pm. Sullivan Hall is located at 214 Sullivan St. between Bleecker & West 3rd Streets in the Greenwich Village section of NYC. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 on the day of the show. The Sun Ra Arkestra under the direction of Marshall Allen is also pleased to announce that it will be making its first ever landing in Australia on Sunday, June 5, 2011 when it is featured at the Melbourne International Jazz Festival in a concert at The Forum with 2 sets starting at 8:30 pm.
