You may know me as the founder of ESP-Disk., which is now reissuing all of its catalog through Abraxas Get Back, a licensee in Italy with global distribution. The estate of Sun Ra has asked me to be its lawyer, and take on the administration of the intellectual property that is his legacy, including audio tapes, videos, films, poetry, manuscripts, interviews, photographs et al., and to work with Marshall Allen to strengthen the visibility of the Arkestra in order to obtain more bookings, and, if feasible, to create satellite arkestras under the direction of veterans of the Arkestra; to negotiate with record companies concerning the legal status of their current releases and possible future releases, and to launch a publicity campaign to heighten public recognition of Sun Ra. This undertaking is one in which you, as a subscriber to Saturn Research, can participate according to your wishes, as your knowledge and access to resources of all kinds are urgently needed now by the Sun Ra Trust. The Trust has just been created by the heirs of Sun Ra, in order to channel funds to veteran Arkestra members and their survivors, and to derive revenues from the circulation of his music, poetry, films and videos. Adam Abraham, son of Alton Abraham, has been authorized by the Estate to reissue THE IMMEASURABLE EQUATION through conventional distribution channels, by his publishing company, Phaelos. The book has been expertly repackaged to meet the graphic standards of the marketplace.
