What is so "goofball" about it?! People keeping damning Henry's little quote without saying what it is they object to.

Exactly. You've hit the nail on the head, Glenn. And the worse part is that is usually takes these people 4 or 5 or 6 messages to get their point semi-clarified. These folks obviously don't believe in brevity! I am not arguing that the discussions aren't interesting, only that some people have enjoyed monopolizing the listserv, which, IMHO, doesn't need 35 to 45 messages posted to it everyday.

A clear example of the problem (as I see it) would be the 6 messages (on 7/14/99) and 7 messages (on 7/20/99) from Mr. Aaron Luis Levinson! What worse, his pompous rantings aren't educational or enlightening! He enjoys attacking Pierre Henry, for instance, without giving us any clear reason -- even after people ASK him to explain himself! And it is not until 4 days later, after numerous other posts, that he ALMOST explains his reasoning!

Thelonius Sphere Monk also enjoys posting at least 5 or 6 messages a day to the listserv, and a brief review of the past two weeks (I have kept all messages posted) shows 31 messages posted between the days of July 14 and JUly 21st by this so-called "Thelonius Monk." My god, son! If you spent that much time on the keyboard, you might begin to live up to the name you've impiously assumed.

Please examine this phenomenon because, as you all know, the unexamined life (or listserv?) is not worth living!

In short, I have learned much from this listserv over the years, but unfortunately am getting tired of deleting 50 messages a day (mostly non-Ra content). It's really too much. Especially when you consider that it's after the end of the world.
