Continuation bonus material
Saturn:
My friend, Grumpy Mr Ruby, just brought to my attention the fact that two of the bonus tracks on the new Continuation CD were actually released previously on When Sun Comes Out.
Endlessness = The Rainmaker
Red Planet Mars = Title track of When Sun Comes Out
I haven't listened to When Sun Comes Out in some time and I guess I
haven't really given it the attention I should. Who knows how long it
would have taken me to notice the duplications on my own - years
probably.

Where can the new Continuation
CD be purchased? I've been waiting to see this one for
years (ever since Atavistic
announced it and then didn't r size="-1">elease it).
Amazon has a third-party seller
listing it for $70, but that's
it.
Thanks

Yikes!! Here is where I found my copy: www.corbettvsdempsey(DOT)com/cat/records/albums/
$17 plus shipping sounds a lot nicer than $70+, doesn't it? :)

for the info, John. My copy of Continuation
arrived today, and while I haven't had time to give it a
thorough listen, one thing did stick out to me: the
recording date. With all apologies to Mr.
Corbett (et al), while most of the material could size="-1">very well be from 1963, I find it impossible for
Intergalactic Research to be from that year due to the
presence of both the Gibson Kalamazoo and
the Clavinet on that track. The Clavinet,
as far as I can
determine, was not produced until 1964, and the
Kalamazoo wasn't released until 1966 size="-1"> (which also means
that Robert Barry *may* be on the album after
all).
Hearing both
instruments on the same composition,
though, does make me wonder if size="-1"> the title
track of Atlantis might have been
recorded in much closer proximity size="-1">to the small piece size="-1">s on that
recording than
previously surmised size="-1"> (not to mention my
nagging suspiscion
that June
Tyson can
be heard as part of the
group vocals
at the end of Atlantis)...but
that's a different matter.
Anyway,
here's hoping we see
more reissues like this
from the Corbett/Abraham
camp. I kind of prefer
that they incorporated
the original album art,
as opposed to Art Yard's
tendency
to create totally new
cover art for their
reissues.
