I think we should think of it as patronage, not charity.

I agree completely. That's a better term for our support. My concern was NOT, however, how WE view it, but rather how the Arkestra members will view it. I wish to provide patronage but hope they will not view it as charity. This is why I thought it might be appropriate that contributions be made anonymously. I guess it's a personal judgment call. I think that helping people through hard times is important, but doing this while maintaining their self esteem is also important. I was just curious what others felt about this issue, which I guess is really insignificant relative to the pressing need at hand. (Enough talk...time for action).
