Sistas' Place/Lil Phillips/Saturday, Tonight ,

Sistas' Place, 456 Nostrand Avenue at Jefferson Avenue (where Jazz: A Mus= ic of the Spirit Lives and Culture is a Weapon), presents vocalist Lil Phi= llips with pianist Nimrod Lumpkin, bassist Paul Ramsey and drummer Steve= Williams on Saturday, March 27th, with showtimes at 9 and 10:30pm.

We continue with the celebration of Women's History Month and for our fina= l installment we have Lil Phillips! We always look forward to Ms Phillips'= annual appearances.=20

She has a wide palette and always brings brilliant renditions of compositi= ons we love to hear. Her importance to Sistas' Place can be measured by th= e fact that we have begun every set, for the last few years, with her sing= ing our theme song (on CD), which was written by her husband James Phillip= s.=20
