I intended no criticism of the literary quality of your notes or the analysis of the music. We do know a lot more about the band's activities in those days--and in some cases, other recordings of the pieces on the album--but the analysis was and is solid.

The inaccuracies I was concerned about have to do with recording venue and date. Clearly not November, 1957; clearly not Universal Studios! After a lot of confusion, I think Delmark was right about Johnny Avant being the trombonist on two cuts. It's not Julian Priester or Nate Pryor, anyway, and Priester thinks it could have been Avant.
