The Sun Ra Arkestra under the direction of Marshall Allen continues its 2010 World Tour with its first of three 2010 European visits landing this time in Italy, Hungary, and the U.K. The European tour itinerary is:

Direct from the European tour, the Arkestra will next be showcased when it headlines the "Real Jazz Party" sponsored by LifeLine Music Coalition and the William King Foundation with the support of The University of the Arts, All About Jazz, Philadelphia Jazz & Heritage Project, and WRTI radio. This event will be held:

Sunday, April 25 - Elaine C. Levitt Auditorium, Gershman Building, University of the Arts, Broad & Pine Streets, Philadelphia, PA.

The program starts at 3:00 pm with The University of the Arts Jazz Band, followed at 4:30 pm by Warren Oree & The Arpeggio Jazz Ensemble, with the Sun Ra Arkestra under the direction of Marshall Allen closing the show at approximately 6:00 pm. There will be an open forum discussion in between sets with the musicians emceed by J. Michael Harrison of WRTI 90.1 FM (Philadelphia's jazz radio station). General Admission tickets for the 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm "Real Jazz Party" are $10 and $8 for Students with ID. There will be musician interviews with several jazz hosts on their WRTI 90.1 FM programs to promote the "Real Jazz Party". Information about those interviews will be released at a later date.
