i am wondering is anyone can confirm or deny the existence of a two LP
album called either 'saturn presents sun ra 1956-61' or 'sun ra

maybe on impulse? the album would have contained the following tracks
(listed below with the title of the track, the year the track was
originally released, the time length, and the album from which the
track would have been taken):

africa 1958-59 5.04 = The Nubians of Plutonia

I've never heard of this, not even as a planned but unreleased Impulse album. Probably something recent.

My guess is that someone took some Evidence CDs, picked some songs and sent a digital master to a pressing plant. Easy enough to do if you want to.

There was a planned sampler from Impulse! called "Welcome to Saturn", if
I remember correctly (I think Ed Michel mentioned it in the liners to
Cymbals/Crystal Spears....where is he these days anyway?), but I can't
imagine that it would only cover around 1/4 of the albums Impulse!
planned to release, so I doubt that's what this is.

definitely not recent - that list came off a cassette that was dubbed
probably 10 years ago? so i am not sure if what is on that cassette
was a 'mix tape' or a copy of an LP.
