Short period of downtime for the list
Hi folks—
I apologize, but I need to have a database upgrade done on the server that hosts the Saturn list. Sometime in the next hour the list will be inactive and the site will be down. It should be down for no more than 30 minutes, and I'll post again to let you know when it's safe to go back in the water.
Thanks for your patience,
Steve
Short period of downtime for
The database migration that was supposed to start right away and take ten minutes (which is why I estimated an hour and a half in my last email) didn't get started for two hours and while everything looks like it's working I don't know what the status of the upgrade is. It didn't happen in 10 minutes or even 30.
The frustrating part is that there really is only about 10 minutes of downtime, but I have no idea if that starts in 30 seconds or 30 minutes or God forbid 30 hours.
So everyone may as well go ahead and do whatever you want with the list or the website with the warning that it may not work. I will post to the list when I get confirmation that the migration is complete.
Sorry for the inconvenience,
Steve
No more downtime
Database migration is complete as of about 30 minutes ago. If anyone was holding on to something to post, you can go for it now.
I won't make a habit of doing this sort of thing, I promise.

Thanks for doing it at all! Really appreciate all the hard work.
Saturnally,
Sam
