Presenting the new Saturn list!
Hopefully everyone has already seen the post sent to the old list announcing the new list had come online. Well, all the updating is done and at this point everyone from the old list should be on the new list and should also have a new login for the outerspaceways.info site.
I want to take the opportunity to thank the folks who have been beta testing the site over the last few weeks. You've been a tremendous help getting the site and list running. Also a huge thank you to Chris Trent who handed the keys over to me to get this going, and to whom the keys will be returning.
I hope the transition goes smoothly for everyone, and if it doesn't please let me know so that I can fix anything that isn't the way it is supposed to be.
This list has been something of an institution for the last sixteen years. I'm looking forward to seeing it continue to thrive over the next sixteen!
Some of you may have had duplicate accounts created. If you log in and find that your username has a number after it , drop me an email at steve@smscotten.com and I'll merge the multiple accounts for you.
Thank you all,
Steve

The new list and forum is great. I've posted a few times and I hope to post a few times more. Mostly I read- the information and ideas that come along here are excellent reading. Thank you!

Anyone that by now hasn't gotten an email with a new password should go ahead and browse to:

and enter your email address to get a new password sent.
As it turns out, this is the majority of the posters—most addresses on the list have actually posted to the list, which means that the account was created when I imported the old messages.

Thanks to all for all of the work involved, and the best of the Yule season.

Thanks so much to those who set this up, and transferred the wealth of information from the old list. I've been on the list for years, but mostly just used the archived messages to catch up instead of receiving individual emails or digests. I find this new forum much easy to navigate, and if others find it easier to post messages here instead of through email, we won't have to wade through paragraphs of quoted text repeated for each reply. That made searching the old messages for information very frustrating.
What a time to be a Sun Ra fan too, with so many quality reissues and live recordings coming out over the last few years.
