About "spam" on the Saturn list, I'm not sure how they get into the list in the first place other than by subscribing, & once they know how to subscribe, they can simply open new (free) E~mail accounts, post in their get~rich~quickly schemes & other hustles & scams, unsubscribe or wait to get kicked out, open another (free) E~mail account, send in another posting or set of postings, etc. So I think it would be futile to close the list anyway. (Personally, I might like to exclude all the bootleggers from the list too! ~ but of course even they have the right to free speech.) I don't know how other E~mail outfits work, but Hotmail has a "block sender" button that keeps you from receiving things from any E~mail address you want to exclude, which serves until the offenders change E~mail addresses, when you have to do "block sender" again. I have activated "block sender" on several E~mail accounts of correspondents who have seemed incapable of civilized discussion, so I am happily oblivious of anything they have to say. Then, of course, we have our old faithful "delete" buttons as well. But in all, I have to go along with Doc Love ("The Farm"), whose lyric says it all: "Censorship is O% groovy."
