WELL. Here i am again. (get your fingers poised on your delete button.) Quite A week. I think all of us have been in various emotional states. I also have been taken to the woodshed and soundly pummeled on my irreverent irrelevance. It seems my first post upon rejoining the list stirred up a lot of dander. The head of the Saturn list police felt it was flippant, unfactual, full of disrespect to the flag and i was responsible not only for the lack of consideration for the recipients of my words, but i was rude, inconsiderate, balding, in need of losing weight and responsible for the Lindbergh kidnapping and the disappearance of Jimmy Hoffa.

I was BAD.

So, i reread that posting (which also got friend steve in space out of orbit). Perhaps the attempts at humor where too sophomoric. If my words re the band and its member(s) were out of place, i apologize to all including Mr. Big of the Arkestra, He Who Must Be Obeyed. I considered all information correct due to what i thought were informed sources. If i was wrong, so be it. My words were voiced and i must live with them.

(hey, there's Ra content coming)

and then i got to thinking (don't cringe). words are the reason for this new state of the world. Misinterpretation is causing a lot of pain out there. I do not profess to be an expert on the Qu'ran. However in my readings and understanding, i do not believe it condones either violence or suicide. However, as with the Bible, words can be twisted, etc., into meaning anything a person wants. enough philosophy (bet you're glad) anyone see the Arkestra in Guelp? Any reports from the front? or were they all censored? Someone asked about the Ra ESPS. I love them. There is so much musical information on them. just leave them on repeat all week.

As is my wont, this is getting long.

SO, recent stirrings re emails sent personally to me and others i know have made in plain to me that things have changed around here. It don't look like Kansas anymore, nor does it feel like Saturn. (to the tune of there's a kind of a hush, all over the world: " there's a quite of control, all over the list"). Perhaps it is time to leave again (okay, you can all start cheering). At the recent show in Detroit, saw a lot of old faces who still follow the Arkestra, who are still liked/tolerated by members of the band, who are shadow figures, lurking in outer orbits. Who remember shows from way back, talk of Sunny's ways, who listen to records and tapes without fear of condemnation or repercussions. fans of Sun ra and the Arkestra from the shadow world. Maybe that's the place for me again.

be at peace,
