Sistas' Place, 456 Nostrand Avenue at Jefferson Avenue (where Jazz:=C2= =A0 A=20 Music of the Spirit Lives and Culture is a Weapon), continues its 16th= Season=20 with the Sojourner String Quartet featuring violinist Marlene Rice,=20 cellist Nioka Workman, Pamela Hamilton on viola and bassist Kim Clarke,= Saturday,=20 October 2@ 9 and 10:30pm.=20 =20 =20 Sojourner is an amazing group of women who perform Jazz: A Music of the= =20 Spirit. Their celestial sound is one that can both relax and inspire you= . If=20 you have been at Sistas' Place over the last year you would have heard= =20 music from their latest CD. Each member of Sojourner brings a vast kno= wledge=20 of many musical styles enabling the group to present a unique form of=20 "chamber Jazz" for strings.
