WEST COAST TOUR

Hello to all. I am writing to re-introduce myself because since having recently moved I have'nt had much time to stay in close communication with these web connections. I've been working on various projects here in NY and am looking forward to meeting and performing with some great musicians in the Bay area during August.

I might be new to some of you and would like to meet other improvising musicians, dancers and artists. I am a NYC based guitarist with a CD, NINE WINGS (CIMP) and a new CD to be released in late August. I have performed with William Hooker, Roy Campbell Jr., Jim Stewert, Jack Wright, Jason Kao Hwang, Fred Lonberg-Holm, John Bickerton, Sabir Mateen, Daniel Carter, Steve Swell, Jackson Krall, Christina Wheeler, Edgar Bateman, Todd Margasak, Toshi Makihara and many other jazz explorers. For more info check out: www.eisenbeil.com

Between August 12-20 I have 5 performances in the Bay area. Specifics are below. Any other musicians, dancers and artists from the bay area who would like to get together, feel free to contact me as it would be cool to get to know others.

Peace and Best Wishes ---------------Bruce

BRUCE EISENBEIL is a New York cutting-edge guitarist and composer. He leads several bands which he composes for and his second cd, which features a new trio, is due for release in September on the CIMP label. David Lewis in Cadence magazine says, "Eisenbeil escapes the usual fretboard constraints in a virtuoso engagement with sound that transcends style." Eisenbeil's trio(with alto saxophonist Rob Brown and drummer Lou Grassi)played to enthusiastic audiences around the country last year, following the release of his CD Nine Wings (CIMP 144). He has appeared at the Texaco New York Jazz Festival, the Philadelphia Fringe Festival, Buffalo Interprov Festival, Philadelphia Mellon Jazz Festival and the Trenton Avant-Garde Festival. Some of the musicians Eisenbeil has performed with include: William Hooker, Roy Campbell Jr., Fred Lonberg-Holm, Sabir Mateen, Daniel Carter, Steve Swell and Jackson Krall. Eisenbeil has been written about in many publications including: Cadence, JazzTimes, Jazziz, NY Village Voice, The Wire, CMJ Monthly, Philadelphia Inquirer, Chicago Reader, Houston Press, Philadelphia City Paper, Philly Rock Guide, LaSalle Collegian, AFIM Music Mix, Your Flesh, Hi Fi News, Art & Culture, Paris Jazz, Improjazz, Austin Chronicle, Buffalo ArtVoice, Staten Island Advance, and others. Gary Giddins wrote recently in the New York Village Voice, "Leading a trio, the young guitarist has an infectiously complicated style of trampling chords and wiggy lines that dart like bats with an attitude."
