Underneath The Sun

I'm friends with the grandson of the owner of Savoy Records (for whom Sun Ra recorded his "The Futuristic Sounds Of Sun Ra" album in 1961), and he recently asked me the following:

"Do you know anything about a record that Sun Ra was supposedly involved in, a legendary rare doo-wop record called "Underneath The Sun" by The Equallos? It's supposedly his band playing on the record. I'm trying to get the correct year for the single, released on the M & M label. Some say it's from 1962, but it sounds a little older, anywhere from 1958 through 1961 maybe."
